The contest will take place on the council,
district, regional, state, and international levels.
The recommended time frame for the Knights of
Columbus Soccer Challenge is:
Council Championship September
District Championship October
There will be NO Chapter contest and ALL District winners will be
eligible for the State competition.
If there is only one Council participating in a District, that Council is
eligible for State.

Districts and Chapters. Following are the results of the shootout:

The competitors took the competition very seriously and tried
their best to improve prior scores. First place winners become eligible for
Supreme Council awards based upon their point total. Special thanks go to Br.
Arthur Cabello, Sr., Chairman, and his group of willing volunteers. They did a
magnificent job setting up and coordinating the event.
With only 8 contestants at the State competition there is
obviously room for this program to grow. All Councils, Districts and Chapters in
California are encouraged to appoint chairmen and schedule contests early in the
2008-2009 Columbian Year. The State shoot-off typically occurs in November in
order to meet Supreme deadlines. Lets see a hundred or more kids competing at
the State level next year! First and foremost, it is up to the local Council to
schedule competitions and get the ball rolling. Be proactive and invest in our
Youth!
Yours in Charity and Service,
